We’re a group of women (and any men who wish to join us) who care deeply about this country and about the world. We care about truth and equality. We care about the earth and our families. We care about our neighbors and we’re interested in those different from us.
Here’s a place where we can talk facts vs. fictions, share stories about real change and hope and policies. We’re tired of the slander, the smears, the outright lies being told by McCain’s campaign. We’re frightened by the vision of a future in which McCain is president and Palin a breath away from the presidency.
We’re too smart for that. Things are rough in small-town U.S. right now. We’re worried about how people will heat their homes, feed their children, pay for health care and retirement, find and keep decent jobs. We’re worried about our lackluster educational system. We’re worried about the environment and climate change. We’re worried for our children. We want to protect this earth and to heal it, not scar it with war and power politics. Care, baby, care is our mantra.
Because we care about living according to our values, and we care about the future, we support Barack Obama. Ask us about his policies. Ask us about why we support him.
If you’d like to join this group blog, let us know. We’d love to have you! If you would like to share a story about how. If you’d like some help deciphering the truth from the lies, let us know.
Yes, we care in so many ways and at the top of my list right now is that I care about the truth in this campaign. It certainly seems elusive. I am concerned about how facts are twisted for specific self-serving end results. McCain and Palin seem to be following in the footsteps of Bush and Cheney in that regard. I’m also concerned about how women are identifying so much with Palin and yet, are they asking the big question, could I (or she) serve as Vice-President, let alone President and Commander in Chief of the United States???? Yikes!
