And that brings the number of newspaper endorsements for Obama to 160 compared to the 59 for McCain.
….but as we approach the election, we cannot get complacent or coast along on statistics, in the polls. This past weekend, I was in the Northhampton, Massachusetts area for parents’ weekend with my daughter, and by the looks of the bumper stickers and the signs and enthusiastic Obama workers everywhere, we’re doing great. But what about the reality of next Tuesday. What about people getting to voting locations, having to wait hours in line? Will they stick it out? Can they afford to lose a day at work?
Have you voted early? If you haven’t, you should, really, not just to make your own life easier but to free up that space in line for someone else. Urge your friends and family to do so, too.
And don’t forget to keep talking, calling, working!
